Foster Youth Success Program
Come and make history by succeeding in the Foster Youth Success Program and then sharing your success with the next generation of foster youth at Santa Rosa Junior College!
Our program is available to provide resources and support for current and former foster youth at Santa Rosa Junior college. We have school supplies and snacks available for the students in a welcoming environment. We have two peer mentors as part of our Bear Cub Scholars. This is a peer mentor program that contains a cohort of 50 students, supporting their first year experience. Please Come In and fill out the Bear Cub Scholars Application, to be part of our Bear Cub Scholars Program.
We have weekly homeroom meetings on Wednesdays from 12-1:30 pm in Bertolini Hall Room, 4730. Homeroom is open to all foster youth on campus and mandatory for all students in the Bear Cub Scholars program. Homeroom is a group meeting that allows students to connect with other foster youth on campus. Free lunch is provided and students will learn valuable information while participating in fun activities.
For the more information about this program, please call or email our peer mentor: April Holmes. We are located in the hallway just past EOPS, second floor Bertolini room 4723.
